OASIS

Located in Dural, Sydney, the project spans an area of approximately 20,000 m². Driven by the design philosophy of “receding for nature, coexisting with ecology,” the architecture actively retreats toward the north side of the site near the road, preserving maximum space for nature. The original body of water and expansive groves of native mature trees are fully preserved, forming the primary spatial backdrop for the entire residence. Unfolding horizontally toward the backyard and the natural waterscape, the building establishes an open, comfortable, and breathable living layout through abundant daylighting, natural ventilation, and continuous landscape interfaces. Here, the architecture is not the protagonist of nature; rather, it functions as an extension of the environment, integrating into the site with restrained volumes and a gentle scale.
